Here are Layla and Henrietta, the chickens that the boyfriend kept in his backyard for tasty egg making.  He had them for six months.
They were both eaten in the last few days by an unknown animal.
We replaced the first one that was killed with a new hen named Repecca (yeah, I know, BEST NAME EVER).  Thankfully she is still alive; she is my bb gurl.  But the others… it’s traumatizing.  Especially for John, who is quite upset that an animal big enough to break into a chicken coop can enter his neighborhood backyard.
