Quarterly Reports to Congress

We have an intern in our office whose father is the Special Instructor General for Iraq Reconstruction (SIGIR).  He was just telling me about his dad’s job, how dangerous it can be, and all of the Very Important Things he does.

He then told me about his dad’s website and how every quarter a status report is put on there about the efforts in Iraq.  This report is the one Congress uses to assess what kind of further policy decisions and appropriations need to be made.  And we the public can access it, the very same report that our lawmakers depend on.

If you were ever curious to know what exactly is going on over there, every detail, and you are wary of finding out all of your information through selective media, look no further.  Go here, click on reports.  Straight from the horse’s mouth.  Color me ignorant, but I never even knew this information was so readily available, and I wouldn’t if not for that conversation.  I hope maybe I helped enlighten some of you as well. :)
